The Minnesota Timberwolves are having a rough season after having aspirations of earning a playoff spot. They have posted a 15-32 record and rank 14th in the Western Conference standings.

An area of the Timberwolves’ roster that the Timberwolves need to address is the point guard position. They recently traded Jeff Teague to the Atlanta Hawks and that has left a real void at this spot. Making an upgrade for a player like Dennis Schroder would provide a boost.

For 20 games this season, Shabazz Napier has started for the Timberwolves. His production on paper has been solid with averages of 11.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 6.2 assists during these particular performances. However, they need more playmaking depth.

Having to turn to an option like Jordan McLaughlin is simply not going to cut it. It would be advantageous to make an acquisition for a more dynamic talent at this position to maximize their offensive potential in both of their units.
