Kobe Bryant sends direct message to Lakers fans about LeBron James

Kobe Bryant is one of the greatest players to ever play in the NBA and played for the Los Angeles Lakers his whole career. While “The Mamba” is retired now, he has remained vocal about the Lakers, especially at times when it comes to LeBron James.

Most recently, Bryant made a direct comment to Lakers’ fans about James and how the fans should be embracing him as part of the “brotherhood.”

“When LeBron came to Los Angeles, he is now a Laker, he is part of our brotherhood, part of our fraternity, and we should embrace him that way,” he said.

And, by the way, he acknowledged the dude is doing something pretty amazing, and urged everyone to give props.

“You got to celebrate … appreciate what he is as an athlete while he is here” he said. “Appreciate this guy, celebrate what he’s done, because it’s truly remarkable.”

James has turned back the clock again this season and has been performing at an impressive level. Even at the age of 35, James is an obvious MVP candidate. Los Angeles should feel lucky to have him on their side with all of the greats that have come before him.

On the 2019-20 season in 40 games with the Lakers, James has averaged 25.5 points per game to go along with 10.9 assists and 7.7 rebounds. He has shot 49.2 percent from the field overall and has knocked down 34.4 percent of his three-point attempts. Those numbers show just how dominant he has been.

It is understandable that some fans have yet to welcome James completely in. He has only played two years with the franchise after spending 15 years elsewhere. Now that Bryant is calling for fans to embrace him, they will likely listen.

All of us should enjoy watching LeBron play, as his career is coming down to the final stretch. He likely only has a few years left, but he is making them count.
