Detroit Pistons: 3 Potential Early Trade Deadline Targets

The NBA trade deadline is quite a ways away, but it doesn’t mean the Detroit Pistons should wait it out until the trade deadline before they make a move. After a 4-0 start, the team has sputtered to a disappointing 6-6 record.

Teams have begun throwing everything at Blake Griffin after his scorching start to the season, and it has forced him to become more of a facilitator. This is creating a lot of open shots for the Pistons, but they do not have enough reliable shooters to take advantage of it.

Reggie Bullock is off to his usual slow start to the season, although he appears to be heating up. Same can also be said of both Glenn Robinson III and Langston Galloway, who have started to also heat up the last few games. The Pistons are still without Luke Kennard for at least a couple more weeks, but there is going to be a readjustment period for him when he returns from his shoulder injury.

Detroit needs more shooters to take advantage of the attention that Blake Griffin is getting which is why the Pistons should be looking at shooters as potential trade candidates.
