Oklahoma City Thunder: 3 Goals for the Upcoming 2018-19 Season

The Thunder came into the 2017-18 season with a reloaded roster and high hopes for the year to follow. Many expected them to be among the class of the Western Conference after acquiring both Paul George and Carmelo Anthony. Russell Westbrook was expected to follow his first MVP-winning season with another stellar campaign.

Westbrook lived up to the hype surrounding him, as he averaged a triple-double for the second straight season. George played well, earning a trip to the All-Star game for the 5th time in his career. Anthony had a disappointing season, and the team elected to part ways with him this summer.

As a whole, the Thunder won 50 games and finished as the 4th seed in a very competitive Western Conference, an improvement from the 6th place finish of 2017-18. They lost in the first round of the playoffs to an upstart Jazz team, after a frustrating six-game series.

The Thunder will be looking to improve in 2018-19, and have retooled their roster yet again. With two elite talents in George and Westbrook and a better bench, it’s shaping up to be yet another good season in OKC.

Here are three goals for the Oklahoma City Thunder to strive toward in the 2018-19 season:
