He Will Up His Average to 25 Points Per Game
Joel Embiid has become a lethal scorer, both from the post and the mid-range. He has also been able to extend his range to the three-point line, although he still has work to do in that area of his game.
Last season, Embiid averaged 22.9 points per game. While that number is more than solid, Embiid will find a way to increase his scoring to at least 25 per game.
At just 24 years old, Embiid should finally be healthy enough to reach his full potential. Even if he doesn’t reach his full potential, Embiid will begin showing more consistency in his game. Philadelphia will continue to give Embiid more opportunities to score the basketball, especially if Simmons does not develop as an outside shooter.
Speaking of outside shooting, Embiid improved a lot from the three-point line last year. While his percentage didn’t show massive improvement, he is working hard to develop his shooting. If he can take the next step in that department, Embiid will easily up his average to 25 points per game.
